Building a Simpit based on a specific aircraft cannot be done without a descent Flight Simulator aircraft.  I found a few good ones for free on the Internet, but a pay ware aircraft grabbed my attention. It is a Beechcraft Texan II and the Flight Simulator aircraft was developed by IRIS Flight Simulation Software in Australia.

The real Texan II is manufactured in the USA by Hawker Beechcraft.  Its design is based on the Pilatus PC9 but modified to enter the competition for the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) competition in the 1990s.

I've stopped a bit working on the hardware and shifted my focus to the software.  I am currently busy developing the Primary Flight Display (PFD) with C# and GDI+.

This is what the PFD currently looks like:

GDI+ is a perfect tool for developing simulator instruments.  The instruments will run in a Windows application (Not in Flight Simulator) and therefore needs to communicate with Flight Simulator via FSPUIC.  Simconnect will also work fine.  I already bought a 12 inch LCD monitor which will run the PFD in 800x600 r ...
